Enviro-Tech Systems was engaged by Texaco in early 1997 to refurbish an existing Tridair hydraulic Flotation Cell Mod# DL200 with a capacity of 20,000 BWPD. The unit was scrapped from another Texaco location and brought in for visual survey of the condition. the location that was being considered for this flotation cell required water treatment equipment within four weeks from the date of review. New equipment was not available in this short time so refurbishment was required. As you can see in the first photo below, the existing condition of the unit was poor. External and internal coatings were unacceptable, the eductor system was in poor repair, and the rotatable wiper system was completely inoperable. The water recirculation system was also in poor repair. As can be seen in the second photo below, the unit was completely repaired and returned to "Like New" condition and is now in service at Texaco's Gulf of Mexico facility at Vermillion 31 platform, meeting offshore discharge effluents <20 ppm.
