TransAmerican Refinery entered into a contract to refurbish two Pielkenrood CPI Separators as seen in photo one below with Enviro-Tech Systems in February of 1998. The original separators were built in 1980 by Pielkenrood and and in service for only a few short years and now having set unprotected for several years. During a recent plant shut down the separators were inspected and found to be plugged with solids and the plate packs un-repairable. Enviro-Tech Systems accepted the purchase order to completely rebuild the separators replacing the media packing, the addition of new nozzles and manways along with with new internal and external coating. In addition, a "Rotatable Pipe Skimmer" for removal of separated oil was installed. The units were complete in May of 1998 and were placed back in service August of 1998.
